Meet My Manolo

Hi y'all!

Today I want to talk about shoes. This particular pairs are so strange. So much strange that it is a la mode. I know this shoes might been out for almost 3 months ago now but I didn't expect to see this shoes anywhere out from the runway itself. Turns out that I was too dumb to realize that those could be a literal bomb, a granade even. It's everywhere now, I don't know if people really wear it in real life I don't care; this is the infamous waist-high boots from Vetements X Manolo Blahnik.

This shoes was on the Vetements' Spring 2017 show which we all know that was another 18 brands that made collaborations for this show including the renowned shoe god brand, Manolo Blahnik. I was like, "This is a (((NICE))) boots, I would definitely use it for shoots or something, but oh, that one is cuter," denying the fact that if Rihanna had her hands on it months before it even released, their destiny would be guaranteed good.

It has the literal meaning of waist-high boots. It has several colors as you can see on the show of course. Below is another appearance of the pieces outside the show (most of all its Rihanna, so):

Rihanna was seen on them orange satin mega boots at the OVO Fest in Toronto.

Rihanna wore it again for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards performance. Bitch betta have my money to get those boots.

Just when the 2016 September issue of Vogue released and I got to took a peek on Kendall's spread, I THOUGHT there was the shoes. Kendall was seen running through some fields using the black look alike pairs. I thought the shoe made another appearance but turns out it wasn't it. Anyway, the shoe fits perfectly with the whole ambience. It might look awkward at first but after some time it will collide beautifully.

Basically me when running late.
Ya as you seen Kenny's running so do I. I kinda getting late to an appointment so I think it's enough for today gurl I see you when I see you.

The Right to Unfollow

Good morning y'all!

It's sunday, it's raining. I was awake from my ever so sound sleep at 2 freakin' AM this morning. It wasn't regular because I basically sleep like a baby and was home at the most appropriate time to sleep. And as I was lying there waiting for my eyes to shut.... I scrolled down my Instagram. I was scrolling around and just remembered that it is time to do some cleaning on my feed so I decided to unfollow them whose posts is not relatable for me anymore. So I started to tick the green out of my following list until.......... some of them getting upset and came straight up to me. At that freakin' hour.

Some of them tried to spam-like my page and did the 'unfollow-follow' on me so I get the notification. But the best was someone actually messaged me to declare that he's going to unfollow me as I unfollowed them first. Judging from the message, he was somwhat furious. I was bursting. In laugh.

But before I get down to this, I want to set a note that I'm not particulary saying this towards one spesific person. I mean, since WHEN did this thing become so important as if we don't click the damn button then one opportunity to continue life is vanished. In some cases, people who decided to click unfollow tend to automatically end their actual relationship. Society somehow made that as a symbol of modern relationship as when you don't follow me back, you are considered rude and I don't think we can be friends anymore then. What is that?

My take on this is: there must be reasons why it called "Follow" instead of "Add as friend" and I do think one of them is this platform is focusing more on the content. So you don't actually 'following' a person but more to something that is IN there, something that the person agreed to share. You are expected to get inspired by following contents that's relatable for you and it's all your choice. Furthermore, the essence of why social media exist is that I think everybody is liberated to express themselves in every platform available, including liberty to speak, to choose what to see, what to hear, the right to follow as well as the right to unfollow.

Please be alarmed that the world is not over when you get unfollowed. It doesn't prove anything. Its not that you are boring or people hate you personally, its just what's inside your account is not always suitable for everybody. People might like what you share and people might not NEED to see that and its OK. Maybe my contents is not very pleasing to some people and I don't expect them to like mine and not trying to make them. I know some people that don't follow my Instagram but in real life we still hang out because its just a freakin follow button. So I hope that this click out issue will not going to get bigger and bigger because there are LOTS of things out there that is more important than this.

And suddenly its 8h15 now. I'm going back to bed! Bye :*

Vogue Colors A to Z: A Fashion Coloring Book

Welcome back!

How are you guys? I hope you are as fabulous as I am but if you're not, its ok we've all been there. Today I want to talk about my new obsession....... Which is coloring. Like toddlers. Yeah, it's everywhere! Adult can now color like juniors because there are a lot of adult coloring book from various publishers on stands around the world. They call it an anti-stress coloring book, so adults can reduce their stressing level with this kind of books. So I did a little research on how a coloring book can actually help you with stress and anxiety. And just how I whink this book would do, the Co-Illustrator of The Creative Therapy Colouring Book told The Huffington Post that "When you're coloring, you're not really thinking about anything else. In that moment--when you're sitting down with a traditional piece of paper and some pens, no apps, no noise--you almost got back to being a kid again. Colouring provides a bit of escapism,". Yup. Escapism. In the same article, some of the people told that this book can actually shoo their headaches away and that recent studies have shown that "The majority of adults feel like they are constatly looking at a screen, and crave a slower pace life."

But for me, I just like coloring. So I bought this one:

I'm so fancy

This book was out earlier in April this year. I didn't expect to find this because I was looking for a regular adult coloring book with boring animals inside. And then after I swam onto those stacks of coloring books I found this one! What I love the most about this book besides its Vogue (of course) is the book features old Vogue covers ranging from the year 1912 to 1932. Like, imagine you are some Vogue editor and deciding which color this girl wear for which issue. Do you feel me?

There's actually a lot to color inside! Like, it actually took a day to finish a page. Are you kidding me? This book will never ends. From the title Vogue Colors A to Z: A Fashion Coloring Book only,we can all just jump to how this book works. They have like 26 or something main covers to color based on alphabetical order from what the main idea of the page, like A is for 'Automobile' which has a cover from a specific year that features a girl in a not-actually-a-car-looking car and B for 'Boa' which presents another cover with a big snake on it.

It took a whole afternoon for this. I'm sorry.

This is really fun because I love fashion and I love history and of course COLORING itself! I really can't wait to finish this book of ancient fanciness. I think it will be great though if Vouge later decided to bring up their latest covers to this format so we all can color on our idols faces; especially the Kardashians! Who's with me?So for y'all feeling dizzy of life; get a coloring book! Just color it..... color to the end of it..... color to the end of your life....... Of course not! Get yo ass to work when you think its enough coloring!

Snapgrammin'

Hi y'all!

It's midnight here in Indonesia, 00h12 to be exact. I was doing mood slides for an upcoming styling project and weird thing is my brain actually works only when its late. But again MY late is like 22h00 so, yeah, for me its MUCH LATE now.

I was scrolling down my Instagram page when suddenly I remembered what I was about to bring up here: Instagram new features! You know, Snapgram. It's not actually Snapgram but I prefer calling it 'Snapgram' than its birth name, 'Instagram Stories'. I have both accounts and I was TORN between the two of them. When its first released, I was kinda shocked because its somehow cute??? Like it was born as the annoying sister of Snapchat. Like, that younger sister that tries to take the spotlight in the family. You know, sisters.
Résultat de recherche d'images pour "celebrity on instagram stories"
Me and my friends.

It wasn't a love at the first sight, its quite confusing because: why would you have the new feature to share something ALONG with the main feature which has the same function...? Like, what would you fill your feed with if it all goes to the side feature a.k.a Snapgram? Or do you pick the best picture, the 'Insta-worthy', the PR set photos, the branding-nearly-made-up picture that you need to actually took with a mirrorless camera along with the excluded and overexpensive lenses? As for me, I stopped posting pictures on my feed and start on having a 24h joyful-no-evidence video?

And for Snapchat..... Gosh, I love Snapchat. Dog filter? Check. Any other filter? Check. Just the filter? Check. They're basically just the same?! I hate the fact that I need to pick only one of them because I think its pointless to do the same actions at two different platforms. Like, when you see a skating dog, you wont have all the minutes to capture that into those apps. I feel like there's too much effort to just enjoy a day. So which one should I choose?
Résultat de recherche d'images pour "celebrity on instagram stories"
Cuteness.

Snapgram actually help you to engage more with all your no-Snap-Insta-crushes you have followed a long time ago. It actually feels good to finally see them better than only from their not really updated feed, right? Like, you can hear and see what they really are, and when things are not really what were you think before, you can take actions with it; unfollow or UNCRUSH, maybe? And you finally have Instagram and Snapchat in one platform so you don't have to go like "OMG this is so Insta-worthy," or "I'm so gonna Snap this," and be "I'M SO FUCKIN' GONNA SNAPGRAM THIS,".

But again, I love Snapchat's news feed. It's really useful for news-repellent like me. The way they put news on Snap format is brilliant and I think it's an effective for spreading news to youngsters even I doubt them to even read their school books. I'm enjoying my times reading NatGeo on how people's skull is sold online or even how poop are shaped exactly while I was on my "morning business". But then again, I have to make desicions (you don't, I'm not asking you to or suggesting you to choose or whatevuh) to myself. By myself.

And my choice is.........

Sorry Snapchat. Will definitely wait for dog filters on Snapgram.

OK, my laptop and my phone and me need to sleep.
Bonne nuit a tous!

The Bang of My Head

Have you ever seen something so great you get goosebumps and keep talking about it even it's only with your head? And next thing you know, your head is not working like the same again? That's exactly what I felt when I saw Prada Fall Winter 16 Ad Campaign. I'm not even going to talk about the actual collections, just these series of intriguing aesthetics.

So, for the last half of this year I was doing internship as an PR Assistant of a luxury brand retail which looking and analyzing at contents of various names of fashion houses was what I was fed from 8 to 5. Until I swiped on some magazine and bumped into some photoworks that felt so dark yet filled with sophitications that choked me and turned out it was this sick piece of works:
Prada Fall 2016 Ad Campaign
I know, right?

The campaign was out and about later in July 2016 by Steven Meisel featuring a lot, I said, A LOT of no less than 27 models ranging from Milla Jovovich, Danielle Ellsworth, Freja Beha, Raquel Zimmerman to Fei Fei Sun, but of course my favourite one is the one with Natalie Westling #myhero up there. We can see them walking furiously--effortlessly OUT through the boundaries of everything basics with of course backscenes of breathtaking landscapes. As Prada said on Rue Now, the reason of this big production with such large cast was so a single face isn't linked with the Italian fashion house's latest collection.

"I know, right" part two, right?

After finishing all the works series then I took the second look of each of them to observe and learn the actual collection. Then I thought, "Interesting." Then took the third whole cycle of LOOKING back at the campaigns. I'll let your eyes have it (again):

"I know right" part one hundred and forty two, right?

These are some pictures I can show you, you know, you can Google that yourself because it's literally everywhere now. No, no please just BUY MAGAZINE, like, the printed one. It will be more satisfying, you know. BUY MAGAZINE, okay? A lot of 200-something pages of the real thing, okay? But to complete it all, Prada of course also put the campaign in a moving pictures as you can see the video below, thanks to YouTube:

Ok, I know its great but I think we should stop exaggerating now, no? No? Ok, I'll leave while you mesmerize around those exceptional constellation up there.

Enjoy!

Life in A Single Pump

Hi Y'all!

I'm thinking of telling you bishus about my beauty routines but that would take an actual year to wrap it up. So, I'm just going to tell you my very, very useful skincare product--my holy grail (and my wallet savior) which I owe basically my entire life and existence.

As a man that really respect beauty--which is not always for women--I can proudly say that I took a good care of my body especially my skin. You must think I spend more than much to take care of the shell of my soul with those up and raising so expensive yet effective skincare--which I don't. So wait no more, I present to you:
My whole life
This is love. I'm not even going to say anything about it because the truth is I don't know how magic works. The story is I have this semi-oily skin that I wasn't really like (you know, the T and stuff) so I tend to get curious as a teen to try literally EVERYTHING on the store. Men products, women products, baby soaps..... everything. And my skin got worsen along the way so my mom get me to a dermatologist and they later gave me their own products to only make me excited for a month with a daring result and my skin got strangely immune to their products the month after. I was about to get depressed with my skin....... What? Of course it's a big deal. Until a friend of mine told me to try Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, which wasn't new to the ears. And that, my friend, how my life changed.

I never thought it would work like this. I previously have read reviews from those who had used it and how it is not trying to CORRECT your skin, but to RESTORE your actual skin and help it to get the best out of it. As for me, after several times of using it (yea, it actually TAKES TIME) I can tell that my pores are far from slight, my forehead bumps are actually reducing, my face doesn't look dull, and what I think is best is that my face doesn't go looking like fritters nor a desert. It just brings out my natural dehidrated skin look which it is. The. Best.
The helping sister

I also use Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer to protect my skin during the day. Among all the Cetaphil sisturrr I think this one is the most suitable for me.As I don't really get out a lot, I used the SPF 15 because I think it's enough. At the first intakes you will probably feel your skin get a little too greasy and it took time to actually absorbs to your skin. But, as you get along with the product, this one is absolutely good for you. It gives your skin good healthy look instead of most moisturizers will do.

This is basically me now.
How I do it?
I use it usually at night only. I do double cleansing by wiping this whole perfection face with the product over a cotton pad, from the chin up to the cheek then to the nose up to the forehead with one way stroke. And then I pumped the product out again for the second cleansing with bare hand and same gestures the rinse it off. Don't forget to apply also the moisturizer for the day, they have various SPFs for your needs. Easy breezy.

And, oh, the packaging. I usually brought the 500ml that lasts for almost 6 months (wow, no?) for the pumps. There's nothing special on the packaging just a big tug with simple printouts and a blue pump. So nothing, just like me. That's why I liked it. (Looks good on the bathroom also) (...I'm talking about me)

It's sad that this product is not very well-known here in Indonesia and it's quite hard to get your hands on it because it's basically on and off in the drugstore which I usually shop for it.... So I usually stock it up so I don't have to actually hunt for it like men looking the last meal on earth. It actually retails for IDR 200,000 or something.... But don't you do the math with me because if you are as savvy as I am then it is good because can you imagine that amount of money for 6 months of goodness in a tug............. You can thank me later.

Bisous,

G

Workin' on it!

Hi Y'all!

Sorry it took really long to get back. I've been busy doing.... I've been busy, ok. Stop judging.

Ok gurl I actually want to have a decent launch on this blog with an OK-er preface and shit but, man, I don't even know what makes it so long to ship a software!!!! I'm shipping Adobes--new Adobes--because the ones that is in my computer had been erased for the good of this computer ;) #oldies #butgoodies. Yeah, when I say startover, I mean START   O  V  E  R.

So I think I'm just going to divide my (later) contents of this blog and I think I could use some opinions! What should I write in this? (besides my rants) (I'M SO MAKING SECTION FOR 'RANTS') (So cool)

I'm thinking of:

  • 'La Mode' which basically talks about fashion or whatever, something très chic and things that usually off the radar to some of you, or how I react on specific pieces, or what's best for who. I will give it, like, weekly updates? And of course again, the writings is based of my personal thinking and prévision.
  • 'Faces'. If you think that this will be all about celebrities, you get it so wrong, ok, you're done. I'm talking models. MMMMM-O-D-E-L-S. I can't stop talking about them with my colleagues and friends. It's strange that I actually have this crazy feelings when I see models. Like, they're not human. I am human. They are magic. End of the story.
  • 'Santé' will mostly talks about health, beauty and nature living.... I've been very obsessive about healthy living--not about fitness, of course--like how can you get the most of your body using less of outside slash chemics helps.
  • 'Rants' I think will be the most updated section since I literally have a lot of things in my head about things and I wont hesitate a second to just put it in here just for the sake of letting it out.
I think that would be a good start for this blog so if you-all-five-readers do have opinions of what do you want me to talk about please don't hesitate to just leave a comment or two.... or you can call me through.... um, no I'm not giving my number. But, anyway, I hope that this baby blog can grow along with me as a person whatsoever.

Ok, I think I will start now.

Enjoy!
